Good news for everyone that commutes to-and-from Niterói on a regular basis: we have a new business running the Rio de Janeiro – Niterói Bridge and the toll has decreased from R$5.20 to R$3.70.

New price at the bridge from today!

The new business in charge is called EcoRodovias and they willl invest R$1.2 billion reais in the next 5 years. And new toll at rio-niteroi bridge is valid from today, the 1st of June 2015.

More traffic on the bridge in Rio de Janeiro?

Most of the people who take the bridge on a daily basis go from Niterói to work in Rio early in the morning, returning at the end of the day. This is the reason why we have a massive traffic from 6.30am to 8.30am. Therefore some people are saying that the new toll will only add more cars to a (already) very busy bridge worsening even more the problem.
