It was today the 1st of March that Rio de Janeiro has celebrated its 450th anniversary.

 

 

Rio. 450 years!

 

Rio de Janeiro’s party cake was set up at Carioca’s street in downtown Rio. It was a huge cake: 450 metres long and weighting 8 tons! Mayor Eduardo Paes was in charge to give the fist piece to governor Luiz Pezão. Then it was time for the people of Rio to enjoy the cake. Whoever tried it said that it was great!
